Japan floral jewellery

Hair combs 

These hair combs were worn by women during the Edo period (1603-1868) and Showa period (1926-1988) in Japan. The hair combs below were made of ivory, tortoise shell,  others have cocoon, some are coated with lacquer and they have different floral patterns on each comb.
